One of my clients posed this question….
I’m wondering if I’m really seeing auras, or not!! I’ve been practicing with plants and people and animals, and sometimes I do see smokey-light-halo effects around them, but I’m doubting my impressions because I’m realizing that sometimes I’m seeing similar effects around inanimate objects. What does this mean? Am I just seeing things? Or am I just picking up on energy signatures from other objects? Is that possible? Thanks! Jenna
Hi Jenna,
Yes! You are seeing auras!! Congratulations! Remember, seeing auras is something we do with our third eye, not our eyeballs. Our eyeballs direct us to where we want to see, but it is your third eye, your heart chakra, your solar plexus (i.e. whichever one/s you use to see) which is doing the seeing. So, keep practicing, and let information come in from these other sources. You may begin to see symbols, movie clips, a sudden “expansion” of the aura to include different colors, and finally even detailed pictures of what is going on in each chakra…
And yes, it is common to see a halo around inanimate objects, also. If you have sensing hands, close your eyes and see if you can feel the sharpness of the edges without touching the object. It’s the same information. (This is where feng shui, which is really the energy of objects, comes from.) Also, objects pick up our energy, and it is possible to sense/see that, too. Keep at it!! The more you can ask your mind not to interpret for now, the more you’ll tend to see. And have fun!!!! Elaine
Well, it does seem like you are seeing auras! Congrats! For a long time, I thought that I was the only one who could see them…but then I realized that other people can see them as well.
Also…I have a question…..is it normal to sort of see different things shoot from people when they are angry…like energy shooting from one person to another with my third eye? I’ve been curious about that, and was wondering if anyone could give me any input on what this is.

Hi Nicole,
Yes, what you are seeing is definitely real. We are exchanging energy with everyone we relate to all the time. What you are describing is the energetic quality of anger being expressed by one person into an attack on the other. Sometimes I have to removed darts, knives, and other sharp objects from clients because they’ve undergone such attack, and these objects can become embedded in our energy field.
When we become trained in the psychic arts we learn how much damage we can do to other people with our uncontrolled emotions. While it’s perfectly fine to become angry, it’s important to send the excess down to the earth so we aren’t hurting ourselves or the people around us.
You’ll also see people intimdate others—their field will try to overwhelm the other person’s by leaning over the person. Some people, as a defense, will actually step behind themselves.

Thank you!! I’m so glad to know that seeing the halo around inanimate objects is okay!! I was thinking that I was going to have to discount what I thought was aura-seeing. Whew! I was wondering about the feng shui aspects – thanks for articulating that. I was experimenting with looking at an aura around a plant this morning and was seeing halos on the doors too (which I know are a big part of feng shui dynamics) – I closed my eyes and then I could REALLY see the light coming from the plant and from the doors – it was really cool.
Also, the other day I was with a client and was “looking” at her with my eyes closed – I thought I could see an imprint of her energetically in my mind. It was interesting!
I just saw the third Matrix movie last night and this really makes me think of how Neo can see the energy of things even with his eyes closed.
On the other hand, I’m really excited about being able to see things with my eyes open!! Jenna
